Jalitha, Perfect for my needs! This app has all the things I need! I highly recommend it, if you are making screenshots for manuals and other instructional materials.

PROS Separates everything on the screen into layers, so I can easily delete menu bar clutter, desktop icons, even the desktop itself. It captures the cursor in its own layer, so I can put it wherever I need it. In Photoshop, it also puts the little info boxes that PS generates, for instance the one showing how many pixels you’ve moved, into their own layer.

It separates drop down menus (and submenus) into their own layers. Talk about making my life easy! It can take timed screenshots, so I can set it up, and then hold down keys that would prevent the screenshot from working You can save the screenshots to any folder on your hard drive CONS It doesn’t let you change the keyboard shortcut (shift-command-5) There are no social media gizmos, but since I’m doing the screen shots for instructional materials, I don’t need that. It might be a consideration for others, though. Jalitha, Perfect for my needs! This app has all the things I need!

Joelvanf, A great app - but lacks an introduction This was a great app - but I want to point out a couple of things: -This app lacks an introduction. It would be great if, the first time it was opened, it could have an intro which pointed out that it put an icon in your menu bar. Without an introduction, users could get confused, not knowing that it put an icon in the menu, and think this app was useless. The PSD file has a lot of extra layers that don’t even have anything on them. This could make the file be larger, and it is very annoying.
